ABOUT ACFE

"The ACFE is the world's largest anti-fraud organization and premier provider of anti-fraud training and education. Together with more than 90,000 members in around 197 Chapters world wide, the ACFE is reducing business fraud worldwide and inspiring public confidence in the integrity and objectivity within the profession. Based in Austin, Texas, the ACFE was founded in 1988 by preeminent fraud expert and author, Dr. Joseph T. Wells, CFE, CPA. Dr. Wells' insight as an accountant-turned-FBI agent led to the formation of a common body of knowledge known today as fraud examination."

  • examination of records for fraud

  • investigating employee theft, corruption, conflicts of interest, different types of misconduct

  • analysing data, transactions, and financial statements

  • examining documents and other records for signs of fraud

  • interviewing witnesses and suspects

  • presenting investigation findings

  • testifying in courts; providing litigation support

  • locating and recovering hidden assets

  • conducting background checks, and reconstructing accounting records.

    The role of the CFEs is getting more and more paramount in view of the increasing frauds in all spheres of organisations.  CFEs are proactive in fraud prevention, detection and in loss mitigation.

ACFE Hyderabad

It is five years (April 2018) since the Hyderabad Chapter was founded.  The primary objective of ACFE Hyderabad Chapter is to provide networking opportunities to the Members enabling augmented professional interaction among themselves.  It is also intended to provide fraud awareness education to the public and interact with other professional organisations and liaise with law enforcement agencies in order to support them in fraud prevention and detection.  ACFE Hyderabad Chapter conducts periodical academic sessions providing opportunity to Members as well as Non-Members to update their knowledge on anti-fraud tools, laws and technology in line with the current trends in the financial, computer and other frauds.ACFE Hyderabad
